There’s something about the splendor of the local, hometown tack shop, where everybody knows your name (queue music). Really, though, smaller local shops can offer the best deals, niche products, and can provide tailored solutions for you and your horse based on knowing your needs. Being into equine trends, fashion and always on the look out for deals, I have had the chance to interact with many tack shops all over the county, and in Canada as well! I wanted to post this blog to highlight the unique items and service each of my favorite shops has to offer. Tweet me some of your faves!
I’ll kick things off with my hometown favorite, Equus Now.
Who: Equus Now
Where: Lewis Center, Ohio
What they offer: Equus is the best shop around Central Ohio. They carry brands such as Tailored Sportsman, EIS, Ariat and Romph. You can also find tack brands such as Harmohn Kraft, Walsh, Baker, Aramas, Back on Track and many more. One of the biggest draws to Equus is the fully functioning consignment shop that is in the back half of the store. Gently used tack, apparel and blankets can be traded in or purchased. equusnow.com offers the stores collection to you from the convenience of your home!
Extras: Equus has some of the best blow out sales around. They can custom order many items, so if you are looking for something hard to find, chances are Equus can save the day!

Next up, for my East Coast beach babes, The Farm House
Who: Farm House Tack
Where: Landrum, South Carolina
What they offer: Perhaps the most elusive item on the menu at Farm House is their INCREDIBLE selection of Tailored Sportsman breeches. If you’re looking for any of the hard to find colors from the ’14 or ’15 collections, check out farmhousetack.com or call them at 864-457-3557. Jessica and Michelle have always been extremely helpful in my quest for the perfect pair of breeches. The other draw to TFH is the vast selection of horsey- themed gifts and server ware. I could order everything for the perfect equestrian themed room in one stop.

And those of you a little closer to the Pacific, make sure to check out Equestri Lifestyle Boutique!
Who: Equestri Lifetsyle Boutique
Where: Costa Mesa, California
What they offer: Some of the trendiest and thriftiest finds can be snagged at this new boutique shop, taking the West Coast by storm. Offering most of Asmar Equestrian’s spring line, as well as the cutest spur belts around, ELB is quickly becoming my go to for my riding outfit of the days! One of the coolest aspects of the site is the “Fab Finds by Lisa” section, which offers vintage Hermes and Chanel items hand picked by shop boss Alexa Skonieczny’s mom. You can also make custom belt buckles by Bows to the Shows! Perfect for representing your barn’s logo.
Extra extra!- ELB often times offers 10-20% off discount codes, simply because Alexa is the sweetest. Keep your eyes peeled..
